A Mains Inverter was designed to convert 12vDC from a car battery to 240v 50Hz AC. The output is a filtered square wave which is good for most applications. The output is regulated and the 600Watt capacity makes it suitable for most power tools. The unit has also been used to power lighting and most recently it was a useful power source for a Hospital Radio Outside Broadcast where a mains supply wasnt avaulable.
